Mountainside was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight  loss. They lost  23-4 to the Salome Frogs. On the bright side, the four- run  performance marked the Wolves' highest-scoring  match to date.
  Malachai Morales made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kasey Snyder, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple.
Mountainside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Salome, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountainside will welcome Wickenburg  at 1:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Salome, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ash Fork/Seligman  at 3:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.71  runs per game on average), something the Frogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
