The Monessen Greyhounds will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Greene Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. Monessen will be looking to keep their 18-game home win streak alive.
Even though Bethlehem Center scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Monessen still came out on top. Monessen enjoyed a cozy 77-58 win over Bethlehem Center. Given Monessen's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Bethlehem Center is ranked 676th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West Greene aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Wednesday extended their overall winning streak to three. They took down Mapletown 54-39.
Monessen's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for West Greene, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Monessen against West Greene in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 70-39 win. With Monessen ahead 47-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
