Jaron Johnson made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Sughroue, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Liam Dyer, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Centennial fell victim to Thurston-Cuming County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against Thurston-Cuming County, falling 6-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Broncos were not able to get on the board.
Adams Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
Everything went Adams Central's way against Centennial when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Adams Central made off with an 11-1 win. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
