Quilcene extended the longest winning streak in 1B Northwest - South (8 Man) this week by beating Highland Christian, 60-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Rangers.
Evergreen Lutheran was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Rainier Christian. The Eagles came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Rainier Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jared Nelson has thrown for 169 yards and three touchdowns this season, while David Helmer has two catches for 132 yards. Nelson also leads the league in rushing with 90 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Quilcene and Evergreen Lutheran. The Rangers enters the game ranked 23rd in the state, while the Eagles ranks 25th.
Quilcene took down Highland Christian 60-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
