Aurora Central Catholic has gone a perfect 3-0 against DePaul College Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Chargers will welcome the Rams at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Aurora Central Catholic and IC Catholic Prep meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Knights. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.
Corina Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison McCarty, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Morgan Vaghy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Aurora Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as IC Catholic Prep only posted an OBP of .355.
Meanwhile, DePaul College Prep entered their tilt with Trinity on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Blazers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory.
Kylie Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Georgia Phillip, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Aurora Central Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for DePaul College Prep, they pushed their record up to 9-18 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Aurora Central Catholic skirted past DePaul College Prep 4-3 in their previous matchup back in April. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
