Basketball Recap: Elijah Harman Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bay City Baptist

Oakhill Christian was handed a 42-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bay City Baptist 27-24. For the Royals, this counts as revenge for the 56-46 victory Bay City Baptist walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.

Oakhill Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Harman, who posted eight points and 14 rebounds. Harman has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaac Vogel, who put up ten points along with five boards and three steals.

Oakhill Christian's record now sits at 4-11. As for Bay City Baptist, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Oakhill Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-38 loss against Faith Christian on the 18th. Bay City Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
