 Chloe Chappell made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  hit while striking out 15 over 6.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  strikeouts. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Chappell wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jordan Ward, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Northeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They lost  20-0 to First Flight.
 Northeastern's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Holmes, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
