Harrisonburg is 0-10 against Forest since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Harrisonburg Bulldogs are on the road again and play against the Forest Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on December 11th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Monday, Harrisonburg had to suffer through a rough 80-33 loss at the hands of Grant. Harrisonburg has struggled against Grant recently, as their matchup on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Harrisonburg's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ryan Fuqua, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals, and Laine Dupuis who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds. Fuqua scored a full 45.5% of Harrisonburg's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Forest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Beekman 58-19. While losing is never fun, Forest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Beekman is ranked 90th).
The losses dropped Harrisonburg to 4-5 and Grant to 2-6.
Harrisonburg and Forest were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January, but Harrisonburg came up empty-handed after a 62-61 defeat. Can Harrisonburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
