Softball Recap: Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 3-4-1 in the process. They blew past the Wagner Red Raiders 15-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

As for Wagner, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

For Wagner's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lydia Yost, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.

Coincidentally, Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy and Wagner will both be playing Parkston the next time they take the field. Wagner will host Parkston at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy will host them at 4:30 p.m. on May 6.
