The Canon City Tigers''s game on Saturday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost to Sand Creek on the road by a decisive 20-6 margin. Canon City just can't catch a break and has now endured four defeats in a row.
Canon City's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Matt Harms, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown, and Jake Adamic who rushed for 59 yards.
Sand Creek found their leader in underclassman Terrence Clay, who threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes. Sand Creek also got help from Elijah Brotherns who showed off his sure hands for 113 receiving yards.
Canon City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Sand Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Canon City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sand Creek will be playing at home against Discovery Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Discovery Canyon will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
