The Osborne Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Pike Valley Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Osborne is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in Kansas (the Bulldogs are ranked 102nd, while the Panthers are ranked 277th).
In what's become a running theme this season, Osborne gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southern Cloud co-op [Miltonvale/Glasco] 66-22 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Osborne who now have three in a row.
Even though Pike Valley has not done well against the Leopards recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Pike Valley came out on top against the Leopards by a score of 44-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pike Valley.
Raelyn Bolte and Breanna Reeves were among the main playmakers for Pike Valley as the former scored 15 points along with five rebounds and the latter scored 20 points along with two steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Reeves has scored at least a third of Pike Valley's points.
Osborne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Pike Valley, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Osborne beat the Panthers 48-35 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Osborne since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
