The Broomfield Eagles put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 62-48 victory over Silver Creek. With that victory, Broomfield brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.
It was another big night for Olivia Kim, who scored 19 points along with 4 steals. Kim is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Desirae Martinez, who scored 12 points.
Despite the defeat, Silver Creek saw an underclassman step up: Avery White scored 21 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Spagnoletti, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Broomfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Silver Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Broomfield will be playing at home against Rangeview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rangeview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 148th, while Broomfield is ranked ninth). As for Silver Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Niwot at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Niwot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 42 on Tuesday.
