International Studies lost against the Mater Brickell Academy Bulls back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. International Studies was outmatched by the Bulls on the road and fell 68-20. International Studies has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mater Brickell Academy found their leader in underclassman Antonio Medina, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Medina has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fritner Catilus, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
International Studies' loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Mater Brickell Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. International Studies is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st. As for Mater Brickell Academy, they will square off against the at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sports Leadership & Management is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
