The Scott Central Rebels were the 53-42 winner over the Sebastopol Bobcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Scott Central received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 48-34 to Sebastopol.
Scott Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenlasia Hicks, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Mariah Bulter, who scored five points along with nine rebounds.
Scott Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Sebastopol, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Scott Central will head out on the road to face off against Richland at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Richland is ranked 141st, while Scott Central is ranked 159th). Sebastopol won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Newton County at 3:00 p.m. on December 19th.
