Last Thursday, Lakeview was the victim of a rough 46-22 loss at the hands of Poland Seminary. While losing is never fun, Lakeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 588th, while Poland Seminary is ranked 186th).
Lakeview's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Anna Haynie, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and four blocks, and Annabelle Humphrey who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Newton Falls didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Garfield on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 31-27 victory. The victory was just what Newton Falls needed coming off of a 50-14 defeat in their prior contest.
