The Central Wildcats lost against the Collinwood Trojans back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Central took a serious blow against the Trojans, falling 54-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Central has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They are 2-3 when they just don't pass the ball.
This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 10-15. As for Collinwood, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will square off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lauderdale County will be looking to keep their 12-game home win streak alive. As for Collinwood, they will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hughes will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Trojans are ranked 149th).
