Volleyball Recap: Centerville Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Centerville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Wayne Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Elks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Centerville's got stronger as the match went on, holding Wayne to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-10.

Centerville was led to victory by Hadley Heil and Reagan Conner. Heil had six digs and five aces, while Conner had five digs and three aces. That's the most aces Conner has posted over her last six matchups. Bella Rebollo also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Centerville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Centerville's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Wayne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centerville will venture away from home to square off against Miamisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wayne, they will head out to challenge Piqua at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
