They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Thayer Academy Tigers.  In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lawrence Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 21-25,  15-12.

Lawrence Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Thayer Academy, they moved to 3-9 with that  win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  contests. Lawrence Academy will venture away from home to  take on Brooks  at 3:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Thayer Academy, they will square off against Winsor at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
