If The Birdville Hawks were riding high off their 49-7 takedown of the Adams Cougars last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Birdville fell just short of White by a score of 38-35. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Birdville's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Kelley, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown. Brian Kent was another key contributor, picking up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Birdville's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for White, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Birdville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. White will head out on the road to face off against Lone Star at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lone Star's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
