The Windsor Wizards scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Silver Creek 78-37 at home. Winning may never get old, but Windsor sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Reyleigh Hess, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Jiricek, who scored 20 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Despite the loss, Silver Creek still got an impressive performance from Izzy Spagnoletti, who scored 16 points along with four blocks and two steals. That was a full 43.2% of Silver Creek's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Lucy Waring was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four blocks.
Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Silver Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will take on Centaurus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Centaurus comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Silver Creek, they will be playing at home against Greeley Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Greeley Central is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
