Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Independence

Independence extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 6-3. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Reedy Lions. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

As for Reedy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Independence since Tuesday.

Nia Lamons and Rowan Dixon certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Lamons had 21 digs and three assists, while Dixon had ten digs and three aces. Lamons has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Independence will square off against Wills Point on Saturday. As for Reedy, they will head out to challenge Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
