DuBois Central Catholic won the last time they faced Keystone and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Cardinals were the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Cardinals have won six matchups by more than six  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Blake Pisarcik made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those  11  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That  home run marked the first that  he  launched this season.
 In other batting news,  Brayden Fox was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. What's more,  he posted two  doubles, the most he's  had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Aiden Snowberger, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
The  win made it two in a row for DuBois Central Catholic and  bumps their season record up to 7-1. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Keystone, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the  defeat, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DuBois Central Catholic will square off against Bishop Canevin at 5:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 10  runs per game this season. As for Keystone, they will take on Clarion Area at 6:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
