Uncommon will head out on the road to face off against Medgar Evers College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, everything went Uncommon's way against Goldstein as Uncommon made off with a 58-33 victory. The victory was all the more spectacular given Uncommon's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Goldstein is ranked 58th).
Meanwhile, Medgar Evers College Prep came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 72-56 victory over A-Tech. Medgar Evers College Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Dejon Williams, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Uncommon now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Medgar Evers College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Everything came up roses for Uncommon against Medgar Evers College Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2019 as the team secured a 62-29 win.
