East Chapel Hill has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. East Chapel Hill will be strutting in after a win while Cedar Ridge will be coming in after a defeat.
On Tuesday, East Chapel Hill didn't have too much trouble with Riverside-Durham on the road as they won 56-39. The victory was just what East Chapel Hill needed coming off of a 64-28 defeat in their prior matchup.
East Chapel Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abigail Stone, who scored 22 points along with three steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Stone has scored at least a third of East Chapel Hill's points. Another player making a difference was Zaiah Freeman, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge came up short against Williams on Friday and fell 54-42. Cedar Ridge has struggled against Williams recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
East Chapel Hill's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Cedar Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
East Chapel Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Cedar Ridge in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 62-56 win.
