The Fredericksburg V Victory's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 71-24 loss at the hands of Harrisonburg HomeSchool. While losing is never fun, Fredericksburg V can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Harrisonburg HomeSchool is ranked 19th).
Fredericksburg V's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chris Jones, who scored 10 points. Jones scored a full 41.7% of Fredericksburg V's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Franklin, who scored 6 points.
Fredericksburg V's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Harrisonburg HomeSchool, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fredericksburg V will challenge Varsity Opponent at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Harrisonburg HomeSchool is on the road again on Thursday and play against Rise Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th.
