The Roosevelt Rough Riders will take on the Kenston Bombers in a tournament on Wednesday. Kenston took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Roosevelt, who comes in off a win.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Roosevelt and Cuyahoga Falls had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rough Riders blew past the Black Tigers 11-5 on Monday. The Rough Riders not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 10-0).

Brayden Darkow made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has become a key player for Roosevelt: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 9-10 otherwise. Darkow was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Teddy Maccarone, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Flynn, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Meanwhile, Kenston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of North.
Kenston also got a good showing from Jared Lechak, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Lechak has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Graysen Bischof made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Grady Flynn was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
The victory got Roosevelt back to even at 11-11. As for Kenston, their loss dropped their record down to 7-19.
