The Mead Mavericks stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 47-11 victory over Longmont. The win was familiar territory for Mead who now have eight in a row.
It was another big night for Gianna Wurth, who scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Gomez, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Mead pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Longmont, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
Mead will head out on the road to square off against the Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Greeley West is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Longmont, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Wizards at 5:30 p.m.
