Baseball Recap: Frostproof Sets Scoring Season-High Against Four Corners

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frostproof). They blew past the Four Corners Coyotes 11-2 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won four matches in a row.

Bradley Roberts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Frostproof is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-7 otherwise. Roberts was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Ashton Feagle tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

Back at the plate, Landon Fuller was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Colton Paulk was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Frostproof always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Frostproof's record now sits at 6-8. As for Four Corners, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5-1.

Looking ahead, Frostproof is taking a road trip to challenge Lake Gibson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Gibson has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something Frostproof will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Four Corners, they will take on Haines City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Four Corners is facing Haines City at the right time seeing as Haines City is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
