Mandeville relied on the efforts of Saleigh Berry, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and six steals, and Alanna Benoit, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Berry hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Hannah Benoit was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Northshore scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Ponchatoula still came out on top. Ponchatoula came out on top in a nail-biter against Northshore and snuck past 61-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Ponchatoula has posted yet this season.
Mandeville is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Ponchatoula, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.
Mandeville might still be hurting after the 70-45 defeat they got from Ponchatoula when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Mandeville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
