The Flinthills Mustangs stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Caldwell, posting a 53-18 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Flinthills sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Despite the defeat, Caldwell had strong showings from Audrey Smith, who scored three points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Ava Newell, who scored a point.
Flinthills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Caldwell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flinthills will take on Central at TBD on Tuesday. Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 336th, while Flinthills is ranked 126th). As for Caldwell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Caldwell: they have been struggling with 16 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while South Haven has snatched up nine consecutive wins on the road.
