Tarris Bouie III and Markus Kerr were among the main playmakers for Chambers as the former almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards and the latter went 10 for 14 en route to 25 points and seven rebounds. Kerr's evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Desmond Martin, who posted nine points.
Meanwhile, Mallard Creek had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 74-28 win over the Hawks. That 46 point margin sets a new team best for the Mavericks this season.
Mallard Creek's win came from a few key players Chambers will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Troy Griffin, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Washington, who went 6 for 9 en route to 13 points and three steals.
Mallard Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.
Mallard Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Chambers, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Chambers has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 26.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Mallard Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
