Basketball Recap: Fremont Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Fremont had won three straight home games dating back to last season and Roy Bishop Jr did his part to make it four on Tuesday. The Fremont Tigers took down the San Leandro Pirates 70-54 thanks in part to Bishop Jr, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 28 points and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tyreese West, who posted nine points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (two).

Fremont is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for San Leandro, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fremont will head out to face off against De Anza at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Leandro, they will venture away from home to challenge Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Leandro is facing Pittsburg at the right time seeing as Pittsburg is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
