The Seminole County Indians gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past Southwest Georgia STEM Charter 54-22 at home. The team accrued 46 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Leading Seminole County to victory were Equeasha Daniels and Zyi'Kiera King. Daniels scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals, while King scored 14 points along with 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taneria Williams, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Seminole County's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Southwest Georgia STEM Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Seminole County will head out on the road to face off against Pataula Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pataula Charter Academy's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Seminole County's offense will have their work cut out for Seminole County. Southwest Georgia STEM Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
