Maplewood's found some homefield redemption this week after a  overtime loss to Rootstown on Wednesday. The Rockets never let the Bristol Panthers get on the board and left with  a   13-0  victory.  Addison Marker was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  doubles, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Hayley Flinner, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Katie Wear, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Maplewood  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bristol only posted  an  OBP of  .211.
Maplewood's win was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 11-1. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Bristol,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maplewood will venture away from home to  take on Chalker  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Rockets will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last three contests. As for Bristol, they will head out to  square off against Harding  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Skippers at the right time seeing as the Skippers are stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak.
