After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northview, the Owen Valley Patriots were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Edgewood by a score of 53-40. This was payback for Owen Valley, who suffered a 52-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Owen Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joey Ross, who scored 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ross has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Hamilton, who scored 13 points.
Owen Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Edgewood, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-8.
