If The Chardon Hilltoppers were riding high off their 36-14 takedown of the North Rangers last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Chardon fell 42-30 to Riverside on Thursday.
Riverside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but David Seibert Jr. led the charge by throwing for 129 yards and four touchdowns. Matt Ferry also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Chardon's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Riverside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-1-1 record this season.
Chardon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Riverside is also done with their season.
