Upsala is 1-9 against Osakis since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Upsala Cardinals will be playing at home against the Osakis Silverstreaks at 7:15 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Upsala gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] 70-33 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Upsala has posted since December 21, 2023.
Upsala got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brenna Graves out in front who scored 14 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Soltis, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Osakis didn't have too much trouble with Minnewaska Area at home on Tuesday as they won 48-30.
Upsala is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Osakis, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Things could have been worse for Upsala, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-37 loss to Osakis in their previous matchup back in December of 2023.
