Basketball Recap: Hannah-Pamplico Piles Up the Points Against Lake View

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hannah-Pamplico). They blew past the Lake View Wild Gators 66-26 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Leading Hannah-Pamplico to victory were Tylin Jenkins and De'Auje Bacchus. Jenkins went 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals, while Bacchus went 8 for 15 on his way to 19 points and four steals. Jenkins' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Leroy Williams was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points along with five boards and four steals.

Hannah-Pamplico smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Lake View lost, don't look at Jamere Barden. Despite the final result, he posted five points.

Hannah-Pamplico's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lake View, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hannah-Pamplico will venture away from home to square off against Latta at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hannah-Pamplico has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Lake View will take on Johnsonville in a holiday battle at at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
