The Sabine Cardinals''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 54-21 loss at the hands of Tatum. Sabine lost against Tatum in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-34 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Sabine lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cade Silvertooth. Despite the final result, he rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for six yards and a touchdown. Those two rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Silvertooth.
Sabine's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. As for Tatum, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.
Sabine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tatum will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
