The Farmingdale Dalers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-44 win over Academy Charter.
Academy Charter's loss came despite strong showings from Joel Beard and Jovani Dorismond. Beard dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Dorismond scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. That was a full 34.1% of Academy Charter's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jordyn Maxwell was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Farmingdale's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Academy Charter, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Farmingdale will head out on the road to challenge Freeport at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Freeport is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Academy Charter will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
