Ethan Salinas Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Nixon's Ethan Salinas, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Salinas threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns.
Nixon now has a winning record of 4-3. Salinas and Nixon will play host again on Friday to welcome Jay, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:30 p.m.

Rios Made His Presence Known in Jay's 49-0 Victory
Nicholas Rios's big game helped extend Jay's winning streak to six on Thursday. Cigarroa had no answer to Rios as he rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Rios really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Jay's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Rios' next match is against Nixon on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Tyson Deen and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Tyson Deen was instrumental in extending Southwest's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Deen as he forced two fumbles and made eight total tackles. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing two fumbles and making eight total tackles.
South San Antonio's probably not too fond of Deen given he always seems to get the better of them. Deen forced a fumble and made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss) the last time he and the Bobcats duked it out back in October of 2023.

Hugo Ramos Makes It Two for Nixon
The second Nixon player making an appearance here is Hugo Ramos, and for good reason. He picked up 139 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Desimus Rodriguez Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Southwest Legacy got the W thanks in part to Desimus Rodriguez playing the best football he has all season. Rodriguez wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 15 total tackles (2.0 for loss). The matchup was his seventh straight with ten or more total tackles.
The win (which was Southwest Legacy's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Rodriguez and Southwest Legacy will face off against Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
