Oswego is 8-2 against Pleasanton since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Oswego Indians will be playing at home against the Pleasanton Blu-Jays at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Tuesday, Oswego came up short against Southeast and fell 50-43. Oswego has not had much luck with Southeast recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Oswego saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Josh Hutchinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Jackson, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Pleasanton unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 52-41 to Uniontown.
Pleasanton's defeat came about despite a quality game from Braden Baldwin, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baldwin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mario Davis, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Oswego's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Pleasanton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Oswego have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Pleasanton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.7 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
