Ignacio have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Colorado Springs Christian on the road at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Ignacio now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Ignacio found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 23-44 punch to the gut against John Mall two weeks ago. The state rankings had actually given Ignacio a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Last Friday, Colorado Springs Christian put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They steamrollered Ellicott 51-0. The success made it back-to-back wins for Colorado Springs Christian.
Colorado Springs Christian's win lifted them to 3-1 while Ignacio's loss dropped them down to 2-2. In their win, Colorado Springs Christian relied heavily on junior Peyton Brones, who rushed for 165 yards and 4 touchdowns. Ignacio will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
