The Halls Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
After only nine points in their last match, Halls made sure to put some points up on the board against Knoxville Central on Thursday. Halls strolled past Knoxville Central with points to spare, taking the game 52-34.
Kameron Bates had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 265 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Harlan Hunley also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Morristown-Hamblen West never let their opponents score on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cocke County 48-0 at home. Considering Morristown-Hamblen West has won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Halls' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-5.
Halls couldn't quite finish off Morristown-Hamblen West in their previous matchup back in November of 2016 and fell 20-17. Can Halls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
