On Friday, Elberta came up short against Pensacola and fell 35-26.
Pensacola's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zac Clarke, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Jones, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Elberta has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Pensacola, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
Elberta will head out on the road to face off against Blacksher at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pensacola won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bay at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th. Bay is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
