After a string of four wins, the Cedar Ridge Raiders's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were beaten by Colleyville Heritage 61-32. While losing is never fun, Cedar Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while Colleyville Heritage is ranked 68th).
Despite the loss, Cedar Ridge still got an impressive performance from Peyton Dulin, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds. Dulin scored a full 46.9% of Cedar Ridge's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Colleyville Heritage's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camden Coburn, who scored 17 points. The match was Coburn's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Gardner, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Cedar Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Colleyville Heritage, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Cedar Ridge will take on Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Colleyville Heritage will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Ellison at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. Ellison has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 437 points over their last six games.
