The Hug Hawks came tearing into Wednesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Wooster by a score of 73-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Hug's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amari Davis led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Davis has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bol Makur, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Wooster still got an impressive performance from Jared Marquicias, who scored 28 points. Another player making a difference was Fernando Cisneros, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Hug pushed their record up to 13-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Wooster, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-10.

As for Wooster, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Tahoe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Tahoe is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.7 points per game this season.
