The Bethune Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by Weskan 67-22. Bethune has struggled against Weskan recently, as their match on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bethune struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Weskan pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Weskan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trey Allen out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Allen is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Dodger Allen, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Bethune's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-14. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.6 points per game. As for Weskan, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Bethune will head out on the road to take on Flagler at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bethune is facing Flagler at the right time seeing as Flagler is stuck on a eight-game losing streak. As for Weskan, they will be playing at home against Logan/Palco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Logan/Palco is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
