Estero is a perfect 3-0 against Dunbar since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Estero will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Estero is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against South Fort Myers on Wednesday as they made off with a 26-10 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Makenzie Baxter made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (two). She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple.

Estero kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Dunbar walked away with it. They blew past the Wolfpack 17-2 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wolfpack: they've now won four in a row.
Dunbar got a massive performance out of Madisyn Zimmer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with eight stolen bases and four runs. Another player making a difference was Arnya Jackson, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Dunbar's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Estero, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-11.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Estero has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .452. However, it's not like Dunbar struggles in that department as they've averaged .622. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Estero took their win against Dunbar in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 18-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
