Bishop Timon-St. Jude is 9-1 against Nichols since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bishop Timon-St. Jude Tigers will host the Nichols Vikings at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Bishop Timon-St. Jude's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude had a senior duo take command as Damien Johnson went 10 of 16 en route to 22 points and four steals and Nakyhi Harris dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Harris is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Malak Bontzolakes was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Nichols earned a 54-47 win over St. Mary's on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude better focus on containing Mitchell Masiello and Tre Paulfrey as the pair were huge in Nichols' win. Masiello went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points along with six boards and four steals, while Paulfrey posted 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Masiello has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Drew Bennett, who earned seven points and five boards.
Nichols has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Bishop Timon-St. Jude, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Bishop Timon-St. Jude and Nichols are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Bishop Timon-St. Jude hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 73.5 points per game. However, it's not like Nichols struggles in that department as they've been averaging 61.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Everything came up roses for Bishop Timon-St. Jude against Nichols in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 91-53 win. Will Bishop Timon-St. Jude repeat their success, or does Nichols have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
